Oxalic Acid Dihydrate – 2025 update
Information update to distributors from the Canadian Honey Council
March 26, 2025
Recently, the Pest Management Review Agency conducted an inspection of certain facilities that sold Oxalic acid dihydrate for which the Canadian Honey Council is the registrant. Deficiencies were found and the CHC is notifying distributors of the deficiencies that were identified. All or none may have been found at your location, but we are trying to ensure that everyone is aware of the regulations and will be vigilant in making sure products sold are adhering to those regulations.
Please see a copy of the letter and attachments sent to distributors dated March 26, 2025. If there are any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Beekeepers are also reminded to purchase properly labelled product and be able to provide proof of purchase should it be required.
