Foundational Leadership Skills for Farm Supervisors
- Are you a farm supervisor or do you know a farm supervisor that has an interest in growing their leadership skills?
- Do you want to learn more about how best to engage and motivate your workers, so that they work safely and can do their best work?
- Do you want to learn skills that can help you reduce costly and disruptive turnover and enhance the farm’s reputation in the community?
Then, the Canadian Agricultural Human Resource Council (CAHRC) has the course for you!
This course contains 6 online modules that can be completed in 3.0 hours. This foundational course will focus on five leadership skills and behaviours farm supervisors need to develop, engage, motivate, and help their team to do their best work.
Five behaviours of an effective leader include:
- Leading by example
- Motivating and engaging others
- Planning, problem solving, and innovating
- Developing others
- Leading others from different backgrounds
The program is being piloted with farm supervisors across Canada, so that we can gather feedback from training participants, and update the training to reflect the needs of industry.
As a thanks for your help, you will have the opportunity to complete the leadership training for free to build your own leadership skills, provide input into the content that will help shape farm supervisor leadership training across Canada and will be entered into a draw for a chance to win $500.
